If the Ubuntu machine is created with BIOS settings
And during the Ubuntu installation, the option to "Use an entire disk" was selected instead of "Use an entire disk and set up LVM."
The /boot partition is not created
You can run the cmdlet "lsblk" and check that the /boot partition will not be listed
The RR Core server will not find the /boot partition
The BMR may fail to boot
Other Linux distributions set LVM by default. In Ubuntu, you can choose not to use LVM and it will mark the root partition with a bootable flag. Therefore it does not create the boot partition.
1. Create the Ubuntu Machine with EFI settings. This will create the /boot/efi partition either with LVM or without it.
2. Create the Ubuntu machine with LVM option. This will create the /boot partition.
3. If the Ubuntu machine fails to boot after a BMR, you can recreate the BIOS partition.

For this example: The VM where the BMR is performed was created with a virtual disk 1 GB larger to create the /boot partition.
