vRanger Incremental/Differential creates full backups when diskskipping with multiple VM's -
Description
Only full backups are generated for a VM when skipping disks during the disk selection. This may only happen with VM's that have their disks configured out of order. For example, within VMware, usually Hard Disk 1 is SCSI 0:0, Hard Disk 2 is SCSI 0:1 and so on.
If all the disks are included in the disk selection screen, the incremental and differentials work correctly.
The error logged within vRanger task log is the following:
The Disk size has changed; A full backup will be performed

Cause
VMware has changed the way it deals with how disk are added in 6.x. The hard drive X can change in either ESX version as you add and remove disks. -
Resolution
This as identified as the product defect VR-147 and this has been resolved in vRanger 7.5.1.
