Unable to add source and replica Hyper-V VM to the same backup group (4040377)

It is observed that creating a Backup Group, containing source and replica Hyper-V VM's is not possible.

Only one VM is always added to the backup group.

If the VM lower on the list is selected, first VM will be the only one appearing in the backup group.

Microsoft Clustering for Replication causes Replicated VM's to have the same Unique ID on both Hyper-V hosts.

WORKAROUND

Do not use Backup Groups to create backup jobs.

Create a Backup job individually or on a Host or Cluster level.
