Linux File Level Restore fails with: "Failed to attach one or more var files" -
Description
File Level Restore from the Linux VM fails with "Error: Failed to attach one of more var files". -
Cause
vRanger machine has multiple NICs.
Virtual Appliance responsible for the File Level Restore process is not able to access the Repository local to vRanger machine.

Resolution
- Open Network and Sharing Center.
- Go to Change adapter settings.
- Go to Properties of the NIC responsible for the network that the Virtual Appliance is on.
- Go to IPv4 Properties.
- Click on Advanced Settings.
- Untick the Automatic Metric setting.
- Insert number 1 in the Interface Metric.
- Run the File Level Restore again.
