Several reasons why this can occur:
1. The share is not explicit
2. User is not credebtialed as Loacal Admin on that Server
3. User login is not the owner of the savepoint files (all files - metadata and VAR)
1. Make sure the shared volume is explicit (no "$" in front of shared drive letter) not hidden) please make sure permissions are set to "Full Control" for everyone
2. Make sure login user has local admin rights (Domain admins DO MOT have local admin rights by default in Server 2012)
3. If the above are all correct and still not working please login to pc or share with the same user credentials (as FLR) and add a folder then move/copy the savepoint (metadata and VAR files) to that folder this will transfer ownership ownership and allow FLE credetials to woirk.
