During backups, an error similar to "can't write \\?\UNC\10.3.0.60\e\VMWare\GlobalManifest.metadata " appears on multiple tasks
Using the Windows Task Manger, look for processes called metadata.exe. This process should come and go quickly and not run for a long time. If you see a metadata.exe process that appears to be hanging, stop this process.
At this point the global manifest file, GlobalManifest.metadata is likely to be corrupted. This can be re-created by running the Reposync script. This script can be downloaded following instructions from http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/data-protection/f/4784/t/19604704.
