"Out of space on target or segment reached maximum size. please specify next segment" -
Description
When archiving to an archive target, i.e USB device/NAS, etc., the archive fails, and the following error is seen:
"Out of space on target or segment reached maximum size. please specify the next segment"

Cause
This is due to the archive target does not contain enough free space.
This must be taken into consideration when sizing the archive target.

Resolution
- Point the archive to another location which is going to be used as a 2nd segment. Note: An archive can have as many segments are needed however all the segments need to be available for the archive to work correctly for the recovery process.
- Using a larger archive target will avoid the use of segments.
