Quiesced Backup of a VM with dynamic disk, fails with "Error Message: The VM has no disks" (4033630)

When attempting to backup a VM with quiescing enabled it fails with the following error:
 "Error Message: The VM has no disks".

Cause #1:

For versions older than vRanger 6.0…

A possible cause of this is that the version of vRanger does not support backing up VMs that reside on ESXi 5.1 hosts

The versions that do not support ESXi 5.1 are 6.0,5.5,5.4,5.3.1,5.3.0,5.2.3,5.2.0,5.2.0,5.0

Cause #2:

The VM has dynamic disks.

Snapshot technology does not have visibility into dynamic disks and cannot preserve the quiesce state of the disk files.

Resolution #1:

For versions older than vRanger 6.0... Upgrade to vRanger 6.0.2 or later.

Turn off guest quiescing in the backup job.

In vRanger, Go to the backup Job | edit and under "Options Selection" untick "Enable guest quiescing".
