Error: One or more disks from virtual machine <VM> is already mounted to the vRanger virtual appliance <vRangerVA>. You must unmount these disks before attempting to backup the virtual machine.
There is not enough time to unmount the disks from the VA and consolidate snapshots when the job completes. This bottleneck is caused due to theVA being too busy to process these requests.
To alleviate this performance issue you can try the following suggestions. This will be a trial and error and it will need to be tailored to your particular environment,
1. Deploy one VA per host - this is highly recommended in medium to large environments.
2. Reduce the maximum number of tasks running per VA, in vRanger, go to Tools: Options: My Jobs: Configuration
3. Add an extra SCSI controller to your VA if there will be more than 14 scsi disks mounted at the same time (http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1037094)
4. Stagger your jobs so you don't have for example 5 VMs with 6 disks each trying to mount the VA on one host at the same time.
5. If Virtual Center is included as part of a larger job exclude it and place in a seperate job to run by itself.
