As you may be aware, Apple has made significant changes to the process for netbooting, installing and deploying a macOS.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, imaging with the newer OSs is no longer an option from the KACE Systems Deployment Appliance (SDA).
The SDA will continue to support the versions currently available in the product (10.9 through 10.13).
The netboot changes were initially introduced with the macOS High Sierra release and Secure Boot on the iMac Pro. Additionally, Apple introduced the Apple File System (APFS) in High Sierra, but is enforcing and switching it in Mojave. For more information, please read the following articles below:
It is clear that Apple's deployment method of choice is Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and Mobile Device Management (MDM). Apple has made DEP and MDM a requirement to manage Kernel Extensions without user interaction. Furthermore, Apple states that the approved level of MDM (either by DEP or explicit user interaction) will be used for more configurations in the future.
We continue to look at options in supporting the macOS, both within the SDA or other KACE products.
If you would like information about the KACE Mobile Device Management (MDM), please contact your Sales Representative or find information here.
