Welcome to Foglight for SQL Server
Foglight™ for SQL Server allows DBAs to quickly and efficiently identify performance deviations, determine their root cause, perform comprehensive analyses, and resolve performance bottlenecks. The product provides web-enabled dashboards for centralized visibility, management and health checks for the SQL Server® instances deployed in your environment, as well as proactive alerting and alarm workflows for tracking your responses to critical performance anomalies.
Foglight for SQL Server is an n-tier application, which leverages a web-based user interface to ensure having complete visibility into the SQL Server infrastructure wherever an Internet connection is available.
These Release Notes cover the resolved issues, known issues, workarounds and other important information about 5.7.5.35 release of Foglight for SQL Server. Review all sections before starting installation.

New in this release
Version 5.7.5.35 contains the following new features and updates:
- Add support for Cassandra and MongoDB in the database global view.
- Provide Performance Investigator (PI) Advisories - Seamlessly, fully automated engine that continually analyzes application performance to identify performance inefficiencies. All advisories were developed by SQL Server performance tuning experts and have the following characteristics:
- Detect and diagnose performance degradations, then provide steps to resolve them.
- Incorporate wait event analysis to focus only on significant issues affecting database performance.
- Evaluate empirical performance data to deliver both individual alerts and a coherent, step-by-step action plan to maximize database performance.
- Guide the user through problem resolution strategies using context sensitive explanations, supporting analytic data and a comprehensive SQL Server knowledge base.
