Reviewing the Estimated Total Storage Cost

The Daily Cost table displays the estimated storage cost for the number of days specified in the selected time range, for which data is available, with a breakdown by days and cost plan (business edition and storage limit) used each day.

IMPORTANT: As the estimated daily storage cost is calculated at the end of the whole day (midnight), no storage cost is available for the current day, and the table displays the estimated cost the number of days specified in the selected time range, for which data is available. For example: if selecting a one-week time range on October 10th at 13:30, the table displays data for the week that ended on October 9th at midnight.

The table contains the following columns:
•
Edition—the business edition type; either Web or Business
•
Limit—the upper storage limit for the selected cost plan
•
Days—the number of days that the selected cost plan was in use
•
Price—the storage price per GB

Reviewing the Estimated Storage Cost Changes

The Estimated Storage Cost Changes chart allows viewing the variations, if any, of the daily storage cost between the days specified in the selected time range.

IMPORTANT: As the daily storage cost is determined at the end of the day, the daily storage cost is plotted over days. However, as such a display is not possible when the selected time range is the default period of the last two days, the chart plots the storage cost over hours. Therefore, if the database has been monitored for more than a week, it is advisable to change the selected time range to 7 days (1w) in order to obtain a more realistic display.

Reviewing the Database Properties

The Properties drilldown provides detailed information regarding both the master database (instance) and the currently monitored database.
Using this drilldown allows viewing the master database version-related properties and its remote access settings, as well as the monitored database’s properties and their change history during the selected time range.
The first of this contains instructions regarding the use of the various sections of the Properties drilldown for viewing the databases’ settings and properties. The following provide in-depth data about each section.

Viewing the Database and Master Database Properties

The Properties drilldown’s sections allow carrying out the following tasks:

Viewing the master database’s version-related information—using the Instance Information section, which displays the master database’s version and collation. For details, see Reviewing the Instance’s Version-related Information on page 49.

Viewing the firewall settings for remotely accessing the master database—using the Firewall Settings panel, which displays a list of rules, which represent each users allowed to remotely access the master database, and the IP addresses allocated to each of these remote users. to the database properties, its utilization and growth during the specified time range, with the resulting effect on the estimated costs. For details, see Reviewing the Remote Users’ Firewall Settings on page 50.
•
Tracking the monitored database properties and their recent changes the suitability of the current pricing plan—using the Database Properties List section, which displays the database properties, their values and the changes they have undergone during the selected time range. For details, see Reviewing the Monitored Database’s Properties on page 50.
