Removing custom metrics

Before you can remove a metric, you need to remove all references to it. Refer to the References column for a list of analyzers that update the metric. For instructions on how to edit analyzers to remove references to a metric, see Editing analyzers.
To remove a metric:

On the navigation panel, under Dashboards, click APM > Configure > Traffic Analysis.

Expand Custom Metrics.

In the References column, check to see which, if any, analyzers update the metric.

Edit each analyzer to remove the associated metric update. Save your changes.

In the Metrics view, select the row check box for the condition you want to delete.

Click Remove.
The metric is deleted and removed from the table.

Managing sensitive data

Sensitive data, such as login names, passwords, and credit card numbers, may be captured when monitoring web traffic. You can use security policies to hide this information from Foglight users. Sensitive hit detail policies control access to sensitive data contained within request fields, request headers, response headers, and cookies. Sensitive content expression policies control access to sensitive data located in the body of HTML pages.

Adding, copying, and editing sensitive hit detail policies

To add, copy, or edit a sensitive hit detail policy:

On the navigation panel, under Dashboards, click APM > Configure > Traffic Analysis.

Expand Sensitive Hit Details.

Do one of the following:
•
To add a new sensitive hit detail policy, click Add.
•
To copy an existing policy, click its Copy icon.
•
To edit an existing policy, click its Edit icon.

In the dialog box, complete the options. For help with options, see Defining sensitive hit details.

Click Save.

Adding, copying, and editing sensitive content expression policies

To add, copy, or edit a sensitive content expression policy:

On the navigation panel, under Dashboards, click APM > Configure > Traffic Analysis.

Expand Sensitive Content Expressions.

Do one of the following:
•
To add a new sensitive content expression policy, click Add.
•
To copy an existing policy, click its Copy icon.
•
To edit an existing policy, click its Edit icon.

In the dialog box, complete the options. For help with options, see Defining sensitive content expressions.

Click Save.
