Backup fails with API Call Failed general system error occurred.
原因
vSphere 5 introduces the vStorage APIs VixDiskLib_PrepareForAccess and VixDiskLib_EndAccess to lock and unlock migration for individual virtual machines. It is observed that on occasion the VixDiskLib_EndAccess fails to unlock the virtual machine and, as a result, that virtual machine is left in a state where vMotion is permanently disabled
対策
Follow the steps documented in the VMware KB article:
Upon trying to vmotion VM to another ESX(i) host to further troubleshoot eror in description discovered with customer that vmotion was permantently disabled and he found KB article listed in solution I then discoverd this under known issue release notes of 6.0.1
