- Pause protection on the agents.
- Stop or cancel any running tasks on the core (let them finish).
- Once all tasks are stopped or completed go into services.msc and stop the Core Service.
- Once the service is stopped open up regedit and navigate to \HKLM\Software\AppRecovery\Core\Repositories\:- Here you will see all your repositories listed by their IDs, you will need to drill down into each to find the one you want to rename.
- The key you want to rename is \HKLM\Software\AppRecovery\Core\Repositories\%RepositoryID%\Specification\Name.
 
- Once you rename the key to what every you want your repository named, you can close regedit and start the Core Service.
- Once the service is back online, reopen the core interface. Validate that the repository is renamed and then unpause (resume) protection for the agents.
