How to rename a Repository (4032649)

On cores with multiple repositories you may want to rename them for easier tracking.

1. Pause protection on the agents.
2. Stop or cancel any running tasks on the core (let them finish).
3. Once all tasks are stopped or completed go into services.msc and stop the Core Service.
4. Once the service is stopped open up regedit and navigate to \HKLM\Software\AppRecovery\Core\Repositories\:
   1. Here you will see all your repositories listed by their IDs, you will need to drill down into each to find the one you want to rename.
   2. The key you want to rename is \HKLM\Software\AppRecovery\Core\Repositories\%RepositoryID%\Specification\Name.
5. Once you rename the key to what every you want your repository named, you can close regedit and start the Core Service.
6. Once the service is back online, reopen the core interface. Validate that the repository is renamed and then unpause (resume) protection for the agents.
