  The Intrust 10.6 Administration Instructor-led Training course provide students with detailed knowledge of the configuration and administration of InTrust.

  Students will learn best practices on how to configure InTrust for optimal performance as well as how to use InTrust and Knowledge Portal in gathering and reporting on Windows and other event logs in an enterprise network. Real-time monitoring capabilities are also covered.

  This course is designed for individuals responsible for configuring and administering InTrust solution within their organization’s environment.

  Students attending the course must have a strong background in Windows and Active Directory management, event logs, and auditing. Experience with SQL and SQL Reporting Services is beneficial, as is experience with compliance issues and enterprise network auditing.

  This course will cover:

  • The features and architecture of InTrust
  • The installation and configuration or InTrust to perform event log gathering, reporting and monitoring including:
    • Gather and store event log information into one or more repositories.
    • Create gathering schedules for geographically dispersed environments.
    • Consolidate data from multiple repositories.
    • Import event log data into an audit database following InTrust best practices.
    • Generate audit reports from the InTrust Knowledge Portal.
    • Schedule automated report generation.
    • Configure InTrust monitoring using the built-in monitoring rules and policies.
    • Create custom monitoring rules and policies.
    • Perform standard maintenance of InTrust repositories and databases.
  • Perform performance tuning of InTrust
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of an InTrust installation
