The very first time user launches the application, they need to sign into the application requiring access to the internet. Thereafter, the user can use the application offline (without internet access), if they choose to for up to 30 days. At this point, the application will require access to the internet in order to keep using the application.
After the first launch and sign into the application, Toad can be used offline (without internet access) up to 30 days. -
Causa
Toad requires internet access to verify and update user account's license entitlement so that users have access to the latest entitled features. The internet access also ensures the application is running with the latest version so that it is the most secure with up to date defect fixes and enhancements.
During the 30-day offline grace period, Toad displays the "offline" message:
After the grace period while still offline, the following message appears:

Reconnect the machine to the internet in order to use Toad again.
