The Factory Reduced Sensitivity Template was used to apply alarm changes including alarm description change to the alarm. This template contains alarm message not compatible in Spotlight 12.4.

WORKAROUND:

1. Create a new template from Factory Reduced Sensitivity template or from the affected connection
2. Modify the IO Stall Time alarm of that template
3. Adjust the alarm Description to:

The file '{{VirtualFileStats.FileName}}' on database '{{VirtualFileStats.DBName}}' has an I/O stall time of {{value}} ms/IO averaged over the last 15 minutes.

1. Apply the template to connections with this error. Note: when applying the template only apply this alarm change and not others.

STATUS:

Waiting for fix in future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.

The workaround steps will also prevent the following errors/alerts: Collection 'Tempdb Configuration Check' failed : Collection 'TempDBIORate' failed Collection 'Tempdb File Location' failed : Collection 'TempDBIORate' failed These two collections are dependent on the TempDBIORate collection, which means if TempDBIORate hasn't executed recently before either of those collections executes then it is executed first.
