ORA-01861: literal does not match format string in table ArchivedLog (4267812)

On the home screen, the flow indicators from RedoLogs to Archiver Process to Archive Log Destination is grayed out and I get an error message on Spotlight startup.

Error:

An error occurred while refreshing the table "LogicalDisks" in connection "xxxxx"

Details:
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string in table ArchivedLog

Known bug in Oracle 9.2. The Metalink is:

WORKAROUND:

The attached SUPPORT.DAT file should provide a workaround, by removing the query that results in the ORA-01861 error.
To install the file:

exit Spotlight
copy this file to directory: C:\program files\quest software\spotlight\plug-ins\soo
Run Spotlight and test.

You will see that the two flows to and from the Archiver are now grayed out ... you lose this data. No alarm calculations are lost.

If this resolves the problem, you can constrain it to only apply to the affected databases by renaming the file "connection SUPPORT.DAT", for example "ECISA1 SUPPORT.DAT". Then the updated query will only be applied to the connection named "ECISA1". You can make copies of the file for each connection you want to apply the fix to.
