ODM: How to get Source MailNickName for Team Mapping from File (4378130)

The customer encountered a Mapping from files error when attempting to map a team from the file. The error states: "Cannot find team by the provided mail nickname '<Group Alias>'

In the Team discovery task, the Source MailNickName is not retrieved from the group alias field. As a result, the SourceMailNickName provided in the CSV file for mapping cannot be located because the actual SourceMailNickName differs from the group alias.

Steps to Verify and Correct the Mapping Process:

1. Verify the SourceMailNickName:

   • Navigate to the Teams View in the ODM Team Module.
   • Export the list of teams to review the details.
   • Check whether the SourceMailNickName in the exported list matches the one provided in the CSV file used for mapping.

2. Create a Proper Mapping File:

   • Use the Mapping from file option to download a sample or template mapping file.
   • Populate the file with the following fields:
     • SourceMailNickName: Match the exported list to ensure accuracy.
     • TargetMailNickName: Specify the target mail nickname for mapping.
     • TargetTeamName: Provide the desired target team name.

3. Run the Mapping from File Process:

   • Upload the completed mapping file and initiate the mapping process.
   • Verify that the SourceMailNickName, TargetMailNickName, and TargetTeamName are correctly identified and processed.

4. Verify the Target Details:

   • After the mapping process, confirm that:
     • The TargetMailNickName is correctly mapped to the intended team.
     • The TargetTeamName matches the expected team in the destination.
