In ERwin r8 and prior, the naming standards file (*.nsm) was an external file and separate module to ERwin files. Using r8 and earlier, I could attach the NSM file to any ERwin file when I needed to use the glossary. In ERwin r9 and later versions, the naming standards has become a part of the ERwin file. How can I reuse the nsm file in another ERwin file?
Steps:
You can use the Complete Compare feature. In ERwin r9 or later versions, Complete Compare will show the naming standards NSM as an type selection checkbox if you have a NSM in one of the ERwin models. By selecting NSM in the Complete Compare option set, the contents of the NSM file maybe selectively exported to the target model to be used.
