Abnormal symbols / characters are displayed among the SQL statement when using Thai regional setting. SQL Optimizer for Sybase parses the symbols as part of the SQL, and informs that the statement is invalid.

Causa
Quest SQL Optimizer for Sybase utilities a 3rd party component which has an issue with the "Language for non-Unicode programs" changed to "Thai".

Risoluzione
WORKAROUND:
1. Go to Control Panel | Regional and Language | Advanced tab
2. Change the "Language for non-Unicode programs" to English.
3. Open SQL Optimizer for Sybase to see the issue is resolved.
