Problems with installing Changebase 5.3 Server Components on Server 2012 (4329546)

When installing the server components of v5.3 onto server 2012 the install does not complete (specifically around the IIS / Dashboard components). It appears to run through the install and then rolls back immediately after.

You may also see an error "1920. Service W3SVC failed to start".

The ChangeBase installer does not install IIS automatically so will firstly error when attempting to start a non-existant service. The ChangeBase installer does not automatically install necessary IIS components.

WORKAROUND:

1. Install IIS manually on the server.
2. Then ensure the following are added under the IIS feature:
   Web Server (IIS) | Web Server | Application Development

ASP.NET 3.5
ASP.NET 4.5

STATUS: 
Defect ID 295442 was resolved in version 5.3.1.
