Creating a post install task with a payload larger than 1.8 GB (4301272)

Cannot associate and upload a file greater than 1.5 - 1.8 GB (depending on the Browser) on the KACE appliance under Library | Post-installation Tasks

1. Go to the Client Drop location on the KACE SDA:
   • In Windows Explorer, enter a UNC path with the same KACE SDA hostname or IP address. For example: \\kbox\clientdrop
   • On Mac Os X, Go | Connect to Server, then enter the SMB address in the Server Address field.
   • On Linux, select Search, then enter the SMB address.
2. The client share and Client Drop share folders are displayed
   • If prompted, provide your login credential for the Client Drop location
   • The default account name is admin and the default password is also admin.
   • NOTE: If you change the shared password, create a new KBE using the new password.
3. Copy the files to the Client Drop location.
   • NOTE: The file needs to be in the root folder of the Client Drop folder in question. If the file is in a subfolder it will not be seen here.
4. Associate the large file to the Post-installation Tasks
   • On the left navigation pane, click the Library to expand the section, then click Post-installation Tasks to display the Post-installation Tasks page.
   • On the list page that appears, select Choose Action | Add Application.
   • On the page that appears, in Name, enter a logical name for the task.
   • To select a file from the Client Drop Samba share on the appliance, under Select file from Client Drop share, click Select Client Drop file, and choose the file.
   • In Parameter, enter the command-line parameters for the task.
   • Select the Reboot Required checkbox to reboot the device, if or in case it's necessary to do this action earlier to continue to run the next task in the sequence.
   • In Notes, add a note to identify the task.
     
   • Click Save.
5. The import process starts.
   • Be sure to allow any import operation to complete before altering any package or database configuration.
