After installing the Microsoft Hotfix KB952142 for Outlook 2007, the Archive Manager Offline Client causes Outlook 2007 to fail on launch with the following error:
"Outlook experienced a serious problem with the 'archive manager offline outlook extention' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?"
You must click 'Yes' to disable the Offline Client to allow Outlook to open.
Workaround:
Quest recommends that you do not install Microsoft hotfix KB952142 if you are running Outlook 2007 with the Archive Manager Offline Client installed. If the hotfix has been installed, disable the Archive Manager Offline Client add-in to allow users access to Outlook 2007, or remove Microsoft hotfix KB952142 to continue using the Archive Manager Offline Client.
Status:
A fix will be implemented in a future release of Archive Manager.
