When attempting to manually upload a .kbin at Settings | Appliance Updates | Manually Update, a warning box appears that states "Unsupported Agent Detected".
This message is meant to call the attention to the fact that the current SMA (KACE Systems Management Appliance) has agents that are version 6.4.x or below.
In version 7.0 of the SMA, a new agent communication was introduced utilizing Konea through port 443 instead of AMP through port 52230. To allow pre-7.0 agents to continue connecting to the appliance in versions 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2, AMP was still available through the use of a setting called "Enable Pre-7.0 Agent Support" (located in Settings | Agent Settings).
In version 8.0, this legacy feature is removed and any agent version pre-7.0 will no longer be able to communicate with the SMA and the pop-up message is intended to serve as a warning.
If the .kbin that is being used does not upgrade to version 8.0, if the agents are no longer communicating with the SMA, or if the agents can be addressed outside the SMA (new versions installed):
Note: To avoid upgrading to allow for time to upgrade the agents first, please click Cancel on the Unsupported Agent Detected message.
For any questions regarding upgrading or agent compatibility, please see the release notes for the desired upgrade version or contact KACE Technical Support for further assistance.
