How to schedule Asset Import (4294223)

Note: Before setting up an asset import schedule the file share credentials should be added in the SMAs credential Manager.

To set up this go to Settings | Credentials | Choose Action | New.

To configure this feature follow the below steps:

1. Log in to the Admin Portal.
2. Go to Asset Management | Import Assets.
3. Select the Schedule an Asset Import Option from the Wizard.
4. Choose the File transfer protocol from the drop-down menu.
   1. If Samba is selected the wizard will request the UNC Path, the file name, and the network share credentials.
   2. If FTP or SFTP is selected the wizard will request the Hostname or IP address, the FTP sub-directory if any, the asset import file and the credentials.
5. Check the file header row option if the CSV file has headers.
6. Click on next.
7. Enter an import Schedule Name.
8. (Optional) Check the Enable Asset Schedule.
9. Configure the desired Schedule for the import and click on next.
10. Choose the Asset Type and Asset Subtype then click on next.
11. Configure the asset field mapping as desire.
12. Click on save or Run Now.
