Where should Active Directory and Exchange agent be installed or deployed?
Should the agents be installed on the servers they are trying to monitor or can be installed on a FglAM instance on another host?
The Exchange and AD agents are remote agents (in Microsoft terminology: agentless monitoring), i.e. they can be in principle be installed anywhere. In practice these agents connect to Exchange and AD via WMI/DCOM so there must be network connections in place (i.e. no firewall rules preventing this) between the host where the agents are deployed and the AD/Exchange hosts.
