After installing Toad and importing a database profile, Toad is able to connect to DB2 backend when connecting for the first time. However, when Toad for DB2 is closed and re-opened, it will not connect. The error " ERROR - no error information available" is thrown.
Importing database profile corrupts Toad for DB2 installation.
RESOLUTION 1:
Uninstall and reinstall Toad for DB2 manually creating the database catalog. Do NOT import profile.
RESOLUTION 2:
Per a user report, installing on a machine that had a clean Windows installation, the IBM DB2 Client and Toad installed correctly, and it connects with no problem. It appears to be a problem with their desktop configuration.
