In the Navigation pane, click Manage Users. |

On the Manage User Accounts page, click Add to create a new user account. Alternatively, select the user account that you want to modify, and click Edit. |

On the Adding User or Editing User page, click Privileges and Quotas. |

To grant additional privileges, select the privileges in the Denied list, and click Add. The selected privileges are moved to the Granted list. |

Under Privileges Presets, click Save As. In the Save Privileges Preset dialog box, select the Preset name, and click Save to overwrite the set. |
You can delete a Preset if it is no longer required.

The following table provides a brief description of the types of user privileges in NetVault Backup.
The predefined Presets include the following:

Administrator: This role allows the user to administer NetVault Backup and perform all functions in NetVault Backup. |

Backup Administrator: This role allows the user to administer backup and restore jobs and perform device- and media-related functions. |
• |
Backup Operator: This role allows the user to run and manage backup jobs. This role also allows the user to administer restore jobs. |
• |
Media Operator: This role allows the user to perform device- and media-related functions. |
• |
Monitor: This role allows the user to monitor clients, devices, jobs, and storage media. |
• |
Helpdesk: This role allows the user to perform restore jobs. |
