Reviewing Agent Status and Validating Connectivity

The Status tab displays the agent status and the properties status of the selected device.

Validating Connectivity

Use the Validate Connectivity button to verify that the agent can still connect to the device with changed properties.

Use the Validate Connectivity button to discover new devices managed by existing management hosts. The agent configured to collect from a management host will discover new managed devices, and add them to the discovered targets for collection.

The Validate Connectivity button is visible at the bottom of the dialog box.

Properties Panel

The Properties view varies based upon the agent type.

Port Property

Agents that allowed port configuration in the wizard display the port.

To change the port:

Click the port number to open the Edit Port dialog box.

Enter the new port value, or clear the field to reset it to the default.

Click Update.

Click Validate Connectivity before you close the Edit Agent Properties dialog box.
