 Enterprise Reporter 3.5.2 is now live on the Support Portal!

 New features

  • Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 rebranding
    • Azure Active Directory has been renamed to Microsoft Entra ID. This includes discovery type, tenant application name, report library category, all related report types, library report titles and descriptions.
    • Office 365 renamed to Office 365 has been renamed to Microsoft 365. This includes the report library, some report types, library report titles and descriptions.
  • Updates to the report library
    • The report library structure has been updated to account for the rebranding of Azure Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID. Ensure that you republish the reports in the report library to apply this update.
    • New "Active Directory Modernization" report library.
    • New library report for domain default password policy information.
    • New library report for privileged user accounts.
  • Updates to collections
    • Microsoft Entra ID discovery now collects Microsoft Secure Scores for users.
  • Support for Kerberos only environment
    • During installation, users can now specify a User or Service Principal Name which that enables the Enterprise Reporter Server, Nodes, Configuration, and Reporter Managers to utilize Kerberos authentication.
    • Alternate discovery credentials supported in a NTLM Disabled/Kerberos only environment.
  • Support for TLS 1.3 protocol
    • NOTE: Enterprise Reporter supports TLS 1.3; however, TLS 1.2 is still required to be enabled on the SQL Server due to Microsoft SQL Server 2022 requirements.
    • Ability to select Strict Encryption for SQL Server to utilize TLS 1.3 for communication between the client and SQL server.
  • Certificate based authentication
    • Certificate based authentication is now used for the Exchange Online discovery. Discovery credentials are no longer required.
    • Certificate based authentication is now used to collect Microsoft Teams settings and policies. If a certificate is not registered policies and settings will not be collected.
    • Management of certificates for tenant applications is available in the Tenant Application Manager. There are features available to create a self-signed certificate, register a certificate or select an existing certificate.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled discovery credentials supported, limitations removed
    • The discoveries Microsoft Entra risky users, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online now support MFA enabled discovery credentials. For Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams, certificate authentication is required.
    • To support certificate based authentication for Exchange Online, a new tenant application has been added: Quest Enterprise Reporter Exchange Online Discovery.
    • Permissions have been updated for the Quest Enterprise Reporter MS Teams Discovery tenant application. A re-configure and consent is required to apply new permissions.
