When opening the Web Reports for Spotlight on Messaging or Spotlight on Active Directory installed on IIS 7, the following is displayed on screen:
Microsoft .Net Framework version 2.0 must be installed on the IIS server that hosts this application. Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 must also be enabled on the virtual directory that contains this application.
Microsoft Active Server Pages have not been configured properly on the IIS server.
WORKAROUND
Change the Identity on the Quest Web Reports Application Pool from ApplicationPoolIdentity to LocalSystem or NetworkService.
1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
2. Left-click Application Pools
3. In the right-hand pane, right-click Quest Web Reports and select Advanced Settings...
4. Under Process Model | Identity, click on ApplicationPoolIdentity then click the elipses button "..."
5. From the Built-in account drop down menu, choose LocalSystem or Network Service
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK.
8. Right-Click the Quest Web Reports Application Pool and select Recycle...
9. Verify that you can access the Web Reports for Spotlight on Messaging or Spotlight on Active Directory.
