The client computer is being recognized as a different class
Description

The client computer is being detected as a machine type or class other than what it actually is. For example a desktop is detected as laptop, or a laptop detected as tablet, etc. which causes profiles and elements not to validate as they should.
Cause

Desktop Authority uses a specific method in order to detect the class of the client computer, however in some cases the detection will result in an incorrect identification.
Résolution

It may be necessary to have Desktop Authority use WMI to detect the class properly.
1. From the client computer affected, create a new registry value on the following registry keys:
If on a 32 Bit Operating System: HKLM\Software\ScriptLogic
If on a 64 Bit Operating System: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\ScriptLogic
The Registry Value is: LaptopDetectionUsingWMI (REG_SZ) = 1
2. Reboot the client computer, it should now detect the device class properly.
