Assign the Global Reader Role explicitly through the Azure Portal -
Description
Enterprise Reporter is unable to collect Exchange Online information when discovering after setting the “Global Reader” role for the tenant.
Errors occurred during collection. Some data may not have been collected.Activity / Message : Office365 Exchange Error -
Cause
- When the role “Global Reader” is applied to an Azure account, the role is received, however when double-checking if the role has been applied, it does not show up, even though you have the “Global Reader” role.
- This caused Enterprise Reporter to not collect Exchange Online information and display cmdlet errors.

Resolution
1. The Global Reader Role needs to be explicitly assigned using the Azure Portal.
2. Add the user to the role from the role settings and not from the user account settings.
3. This resolves the issue and Enterprise Reporter can then collect Exchange Online information.
