Database Wizard error - "Could not create groups" -
Description
During the database creation, the Database Wizard may show the following error:
"Could not create groups: Reporter_Reporting_Operators, Reporter_Exploring_Operators. (DbLibrary)"
Additional Information:
"Unable to create windows group 'Reporter_Reporting_Operators' with domain <DomainName> while creating database on <SQLServerName>. See inner exection for more details (DbLibrary)"
"Database create operation failed: Could not find AD container "CN=users" to place group Reporter_Reporting_Operators into. (DbLibrary)"

Cause
There is no Users container (CN). There may be a Users OU.
Currently logged in user does not have rights to create groups in AD or in the Users container.

Resolution
Manually create the 4 groups in any container/OU in AD before running the Database Wizard:- Reporter_Discovery_Admins
- Reporter_Reporting_Admins
- Reporter_Reporting_Operators
- Reporter_Exploring_Operators
Please create the groups as Domain Local groups. Then run the Database Wizard which will find the groups already created and permission them to the database.
