Steps to update the "ControlPointWebAppURL":
1) Download this Powershell (PS) script onto the computer.
2) Double click "Launch ControlPoint" on server, in the address bar, copy the first part of the ControlPoint address.
For example, if our ControlPoint URL is "http://tahara:43429/sites/cpconfig/_layouts/15/axceler/xcmain.aspx", we just need the URL "http://tahara:43429/", copy this URL onto a notepad for use later.
3) Open the Powershell (PS) script download in step 1 using Notepad++ .
Gentle reminder: Notepad++ can be download from here.
4) Scroll down to Line 75 in Notepad++, copy and update the ControlPoint URL in step 2 (See Highlighted in screenshot below) in step 2 into the notepad++ .
5) Click "Save" to save the changes in Notepad++ .
6) Please also change the property for "ControlPointSiteURL"
7) Please perform a restart for the "Metalogix ControlPoint Discovery Service" timer service in services.msc
8) Please perform an "IISRESET" using Windows command prompt. Note: This will cause downtime for a couple of minutes.
9) The "ControlPointWebAppURL" URL should now be updated.
