When attempting to open up a stripped message using Outlook, the header shows MSXML3.DLL Access Denied or MSXML3.DLL, the system cannot locate the resource specified and gives the click here link to open the archived message.
The Outlook form is unable to reconstruct the message because the Archive Manager server cannot be contacted using the URL stamped on the message stub.
1. On the client machine use solution SOL59189 to display the @AfterMailServer column in Outlook.
2. Check that the URL given in the @AfterMailServer column is the correct URL for the Archive Manager server.
3. If the URL is correct then ensure that the client machine has connectivity to the Archive Manager server by using standard diagnostic tools such as PING, NSLOOKUP, TRACERT etc.
4. Open the URL in Internet Explorer, check that the zone is set to Intranet. Correct if neccessary.
5. If the URL stamped on the message is not the correct URL:
A. Change the AM Configuration Editor to reflect the correct URL from the host header in IIS for the AM website.
B. Use the Exchange Utility, located under Program Files\Archive Manager to change the URL to the correct one.
C. Ensure that this website resolves properly using Windows Based Authentication.
6. Once connectivity has been restored and/or the URL corrected, re-open the message in Outlook.
