Outlook Form generates a Script error in Outlook 2016 (4282188)

When trying to read a stripped message an error similar to the following may be seen:

WORKAROUND 1:

Remove the Microsoft update KB 4011051 for Office 2016.

WORKAROUND 2:

Add\modify the following registry key:

If running a 32bit version of office in a 64bit computer:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Common\COM Compatibility]

Or for 64bit office:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Common\COM Compatibility]

DWORD ActivationFilter = 0

This issue is known to Microsoft and affects and software that requires VBStript to run in an office application.

STATUS

Enhancement Request TF00680199 has been submitted to Development and investigation is under way to change the Outlook Form so that script errors will not occur.
