Migrating Connections in Spotlights

It is possible to save your machine connections in a central location which can be used by all Spotlights that are installed in an environment.

After the below procedure is followed, all Spotlights configured to use shared connections will be able to use the same connections list.

Please follow steps 1 to 6 below. Be sure “Use shared connection” option is chosen during step 5.

1. Run “Migration Wizard” (via Tools | Migrate Connections...) on the machine where you have Spotlight on Windows (SoW)connections created;
2. Choose “Migrate Connection” option,
3. Give location for the shared connections to be stored,
4. Provide network access to selected folder for other Spotlights;
5. On the machine(s) where you are going to use shared connections, go to Migration Wizard and choose “Use Shared Connections” option;
6. Select network path which points to the folder with shared connections (e.g. \boxnameMySharedConnections) ;
