After synced to Office 365 Azure AD cannot be shown in UCA insights:
- The attributes of AD users who are synced to Office 365 / Azure AD cannot be shown in UCA insights. For example:
In Mailboxes - Inventory insight, the "Owner" attributes cannot be shown. "Owner" attributes are the fields under Exchange Mailbox | Owner node.
In the Mail-Enabled Groups - Membership insight, there are semicolons ";" with no proper display names showing in the Group Members field.
Looking into the data source logs:
Exchange Online Hybrid User Configuration job completed with warnings.
Unable to resolve X users originally directory synced from your on-premise Active Directory forest..
Moreover, there are warnings in Exchange Online Hybrid Mailbox Configuration job as well.
Failed to find on-premise AD distinguished name for X hybrid users...

原因
It is most likely that the synchronization method is not correctly configured in Exchange Online Hybrid User Configuration and Exchange Online Hybrid Mailbox Configuration data sources.
Because of that, UC Analytics is not able to link the AD users to their objects in the database.

解决办法
NOTE: In UC Analytics versions prior to 8.8, the default setting of the synchronization method was Azure AD Connect with Exchange 2016/2019. However, it applied to only a few environments.
In newer version, the default setting will be changed to Azure AD Connect which applies to most of the environments.
HOW TO FIX IT?
- Go to Exchange Online Hybrid User Configuration data source.
- In Active Directory Synchronization section, change the synchronization method to Azure AD Connect.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps against all the Exchange Online Hybrid Mailbox Configuration data sources (if there are many).
