Date Format on Export to Excel Instance partially incorrect -

On exporting a data grid with dates to an Excel instance, the date format is not as expected.
Issue noted on Toad World post: date format problem when exporting to Excel instance
Example: select to_date('6.01.2014 12:00','dd.mm.yyyy hh24:mi') as datum from dual;
The Data grid returns : 06.01.2014 12:00:00
Export to Excel Instance returns: DATUM 06.01.2014 12:00
Request to show the date in numerical form in excel.
