Use the History page to limit the size of the job history log and to clear the current log file for the agent.
Note: This topic focuses on information that may be unfamiliar to you. It does not include all step and field descriptions.
To view agent history
Select an object under the Agent node in the Object Explorer.
Click .
Complete the fields as necessary. Review the following for additional information:
Current job history log size (in rows) |
Displays the current number of rows in the job history log. Click Clear Log to clear the job history log and reset the rows to 0. |
Limit size of job history log |
Select this checkbox to limit the size of the job history log so it does not take up too much space in the msdb table. |
Maximum job history log size (in rows) |
Enter the maximum number of rows to store in the job history log before overwriting rows. |
Maximum job history rows per job |
Enter the maximum number of rows to store for each job. |
