Please note that the resolution only applies to Shareplex 5.x and up. Prior to attempting to launch sp_cop, do the following in qview:
1. Make sure that no orphaned process of sp_cop are running and that the environment variables are pointing to the problem Shareplex instance.
2. Launch qview from /proddir/bin and run "fixup all" in qview. You will see something similar to the following:
qview -i
qview> fixup all
Fixup subqueue 0
Queue OK - no changes made
Fixup subqueue 0

Corruptions fixed - see report in /oracle/CATY13/splex/vardir51_2200/log/que_fixup.log
3. Attempt to start sp_cop. If unsuccessful, then call Quest Support for further action. Otherwise, the queue corruption would have been fixed which was preventing sp_cop from launching.
