Unable to access computers in a child domain or remote domain. Error message is "The network path was not found"

Attempting to access a computer in a remote or child domain may produce the error "The network path was not found"

The product may be contacting the computer via the netbios name and not the FQDN

The computer name must respond via ping via the netbios name. This can be resolved by adding the remote domain to the DNS suffix list within the configuration of the NIC on the Security Explorer server. Alternatively, the server can be added by FQDN within Security Explorer by going to Tools and then Manage Computer Favorites. The server can be added by typing \\computer.child.domain.com .
