A unique ID number is assigned to an item when it is uploaded to a document library. However, it appears to be incorrect after replicating the content to the target environment.
Below are two (2) kinds of event receivers:
If there is a requirement to use the same event receiver (e.g. unique ID number) on both the source and target environments, then a synchronous event receiver must be used so it can be immediately applied upon the addition/creation of an item. Otherwise, a conflict may occur with replication when both the item and the event receiver are attempting to update simultaneously.
To resolve the issue, change the event receiver to synchronous. Doing so will allow the event receiver (e.g. unique ID number) to be applied to the item upon creation, then Replicator can update the item on the target environment. As a result, there is no conflict and both source and target items have the same ID number.
