On Demand Migration - Sync Contacts

This video discusses the options available when syncing contacts between different environments using Power 365 Directory Sync. By default, if a matching contact is not found in the target environment, a new contact will be created. However, users can choose not to create a new contact if desired. If a contact match is found, the two contacts will be merged as one in the target and kept in sync. However, if there is a likelihood that a matching contact represents two different objects, users can choose not to sync that contact at all. Another option is to have the contact appear in the target with a new name by choosing a prefix or suffix to be appended or prepended to the object, making it easily identifiable as a renamed object in the target.
