After changing the password for the service account QMM is not working as expected, migration and synchronization fail.
Service account was locked or permissions were lost.
In order to change the password in the GUI go to Tools - Agent Manager and select the computer where DSA is installed , use the right mouse menu and select the needed option.
It is not advisable to change the password for the account which was used when installing ADAM and configuring QMM. The fastest workaround would be to change the password back.
If this is for some reason not possible please follow these instructions:
1) In QMM Project Manager, start Open Project wizard, on the auxiliary account page, enter the new password.
2) Open domain pair properties, set the new password for respective domain where this account was used.
3) Change the password on service properties if any QMM services are running under this account rather than local system
4) On the server where DSA is installed, run qmmcredchanger utility (attached) using the following command line:
qmmcredchanger "domain\username" "password"
IMPORTANT: It is advisable to backup the ADAM instance before using this script. For instructions how to back up ADAM please see Quest KB article 9901: https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=solution&id=SOL9901
