Error: "SQL1159 Initialization error with DB2 .NET Data Provider, reason code 3" when trying to connect to DB2 -
说明
User tries to connect to DB2 database and randomly gets the following error:
system.InvalidOperationException
SQL1159 Initialization error with DB2 .NET Data Provider, reason code 3, tokens Q:\ToadDA.27b\SQLLIB\bin\db2app.dll,

原因
1. Network interruptions.
2. Database or connect timeouts.
3. Limited number of connections to database.

解决办法
WORKAROUND 1:
If you suspect is could be due to a timeout, you can check these settings in Tools | Options | Database | Timeouts. Try increasing the values of the timeouts to see if that helps.
WORKAROUND 2:
If you suspect the issue is caused by too many connections to the database, go to Tools | Options | Editor | General | Un-check "Use specific connection for each open Editor." This force each Editor window to share a connection.
WORKAROUND 3:
Have the DBA increase the number of connections allowed to the database or increase the session timeout value to see if that reduces the occurrences of the error.
