How to set a limit on the number of data rows tested when executing Alternatives or Rewrites in Tuning Lab / Optimize SQL? -
解决办法
For versions 7.5 and older:Options | Tuning Lab | Execution | Execution Method | select 'Run on Client' and set the limit on the rows returned.For 8.7.1 version:To limit the number of records returned during test run, there is an option to control it.1. Go to the Options Menu.
2. Go to Optimize SQL | Batch Run | Batch Run Settings | select "Custom Settings".
3. Next, under Optimize SQL | Batch Run | Execution Method | select "Run on client" | and then check-mark "Limit rows retrieved to:" | and then specify the number of rows desired to return for the test run.

Important Note:
If you enable this feature, remember that this is not comparing the way the SQL statement is actually being executed in the application since you are not retrieving all of the data. It is good only for a quick test. The execution results may be different when you retrieve all the records.
